0000043483-001The François Chartier range of wines, whose packaging was created by Sid Lee, has earned the Grand Prix 2014 at the Grafika Awards ceremony, which was held on February 7 in Montreal.
The jury gave this prestigious award specifically for the wines’ labels: “Normally, innovation in the realm of wine labeling comes from the printing methods or the illustration”, explained Gaston Côté, graphic designer at Paquebot Design and president of the jury. “By visually including on the front label some information habitually reserved for the back label in written form, therefore illustrating the food and wine pairings, the creative agency created what is tantamount to a small revolution in the field of wine packaging.”
